01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

MARUA CAFE opens onto a breezy riverside terrace, paired with an interior centered on warm wood tones. Operated by a longstanding leather goods manufacturer, the space holds an unhurried, calm rhythm that invites lingering mid-walk.

The coffee lineup draws largely on beans roasted by local coffee roasters, offering a distinctive range of profiles. Options such as a city roast blend balancing gentle sweetness with mild bitterness, or a fruity Ethiopian single origin, are carefully siphon-brewed cup by cup. Cold brew iced coffee and clean, refreshing café lattes round out the drinks to suit whatever mood strikes.

For something sweet, the house-made milk ice cream is crafted using only milk, fresh cream, and brown sugar. Its straightforward, gentle milky richness can also be enjoyed floating atop cold brew coffee, or served alongside a chewy canelé pastry. For a lighter bite, the soup set makes a satisfying choice, combining house-made natural yeast bread with a vegetable-packed minestrone and an espresso coffee jelly to finish.

Pets are welcome on the outdoor terrace, where visitors can relax at their own pace close to the water. Because open days are generally limited to Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, checking the operating calendar before visiting is recommended.
